On Our Bookshelf

I've loved reading for as long as I can remember. As a young girl, I could disappear into a book for hours, getting lost in fictional worlds and returning with new questions about my own. Growing up, my reading took me from Chinua Achebe to Enid Blyton, and along the way, I discovered how far a story could carry me.

Books opened my world up. They introduced me to lives unlike mine, helped me recognise feelings I hadn't yet found words for, and showed me the pleasure of seeing familiar places and experiences on the page. That love of reading eventually made me wonder whether I could write stories of my own.

I did, and I'm delighted to share my books here at Her Goodness, including Where We Begin Again. This bookshelf is also a place for the books I'd like to put into someone else's hands: stories that absorb us, offer a fresh perspective, or invite us to slow down and stay a while.
